i like watching old movies set in the late 19th-early 20th century when girls wore pretty dresses all day long, even just to eat breakfast, and it was a scandal to show your kneecaps and boys had to actually court them, like asking them to go for a drive and that's exactly what they meant to do, or take them out on a boat ride and discuss literature and current events, or go to parties where dancing was simply scurrying about the room perhaps with your hand on his shoulder, and it was considered extremely forward to try to even hold the girl's hand and the guy had to pretty much devote his whole life to courting her and impressing her and maybe if he proves himself well enough she might kiss him on the cheek, or maybe not but he'll keep on trying and will make her feel like a princess because he feels that's what she deserves

i still think girls deserve that
